Count your blessings!

I started this post with "I did not sleep well last night", this got me thinking about complaining, what it achieves and why we do it. I need to take the time to think, i have a nice place to sleep, a lovely bedroom and comfy pillow a wonderful doona, beautiful bed linen, comfort, security and happiness. I am blessed in so many ways. One night of not sleeping is of little consequence. I know that tonight i am having dinner with my family, we will open a bottle of wine to celebrate me still having a job (more on this another time) and i will have a lovely night. I am truly thankful for my wonderful fiance who i love more than anything, i will be his wife in 5 and a half weeks. Today, take the time to count your blessing. There is always something to be thankful for.

It's too darn hot.!

It is hot hot hot today! 43 c which is 110 F! Cool change is coming tonight. But it is still much to hot to cook, we shall have cold meat and salad for dinner. I just can't stomach the stove tonight. Fresh cold salad and cold meat sound just the ticket.

The ties are bought, the suits are booked and the favours are decided on. The wedding is 6 weeks away. The hens and Bucks nights are 3 weeks away. It is starting to feel real, it is really happening! I am so lucky and happy. I must remember to be thankful!

Ties

I ordered ties for the boys for the wedding today. I think they look nice and were a very good price! I will update everyone on how they are when i get them. It ended up costing about $20 a tie for all silk. Fingers crossed i am on to a winner. I have really fallen for ETSY. I also got all of the presents for the wedding party off here. Hopefully everyone will like them. I don't trust people not to spy so i shall not post on here about the gifts.

Back to work today.

Hmmm after two and a half weeks at home, today is my first day back in the office. I only work three days a weeks so i really should not complain, but i like being home so much better. I only have a job until i go on leave for my honeymoon. It is very bad timing, why could they not have told me earlier last year so that i could spend more time looking for a job, not one advertises over Christmas. Well i won't complain anymore and will look at this as an opportunity for a new start. Hello universe, does anyone out there want to give me a job?

Pancakes and lovely friends

I went to the pancake kitchen with friends this morning. It was lovely! I am very lucky to have such wonderful friends. One of my friends is expecting a baby who i have nick named NJ. NJ is due just after our wedding, I hope he comes early so that my friend can be there. It does seem a bit much though that i hope that her due date works around me!I want to meet NJ before we go on our honeymoon too! So here is hoping he comes before the 22nd of Feb! She looks radiant.

To blog or not to blog?

I think i am bored with blogging already. I like reading other peoples blogs, they are interesting. Mine is dull, i am themeless and uninspired. Should i throw in the towel?
